Just when I thought things were improving…V-country had to come into the conversation. For what reason/s?? I have absolutely no idea. It’s funny how 1 simple sentence can screw your whole mood & piss you off. It again reconfirms how unreliable people or relationships(OR the lack of) are or can be.

Utterly disappointed & pissed off. Makes me feel like slapping someone.

For 6 years of kitchen life, I’ve had the worst cut today. Deep? Hell yeah. Deep enough for my skin & some flesh to flap over the other side & for me to be able to see the white flesh in my left index finger. Sounds gross??? Ha. It was a bloody cut for sure. :P  And I wasn’t doing anything funny with my knives…I was carrying out a very decent & innocent act. Takin a tub outta the fridge. Apparently my finger just slid a little TOO fast along the fridge shelving. There goes!!!! OW!!

There was a photo shoot at my boss’s place today. Included Frances, Boss & me. It was fun–not the shoot, but the time spent together, interacting with one another. I STILL look horrible on photos though. YUCK! Went for a nice dinner at Waraku @ East Coast. Food is yummier than the one @ Central. Took a bus 32 back to 6MS. This particular bus service is very hated by Frances but it was a really awesome ride back. Thank goodness it wasn’t air conditioned! I enjoyed having the cool breeze in my face, just the sound of songs playing on my iPod. Wished the journey wouldn’t end. For me, it’s a pity we’re not able to enjoy NON air-conditioned bus rides much anymore. They’re great, especially at night.

Gotta go feed my precious — must be cursing & swearing at me the whole evening already.

Bought storage cupboards from Ikea & had a funtastic time assembling them and of course had quite a bit of help. Got down to moving stuff around the apartment & ended up with a lil’ more space for dear Baileys to run about.

My room looks SOOOOO much neater now, although still not entirely sorted out yet.

Went to Corrinne May’s showcase on Thusday night..it was an exclusive event for some Class 95 listeners..held at Barfly..Got a bourbon coke-haven’t had that in ages! It’s not too bad.. Once again, her voice was enchanting. CD-quality & tone perfect. Perfecto!!! It was so amazing hearing her sing. The slow walk back to 6MS was very nice, especially with the nice breeze.

Then Friday came, went for an afternoon tea session(Some wine & dine event) kinda invited by one of my suppliers. Thought I’d hate it but turns out, met a few familiar people, chatted & also met Vincent from Valrhona, pastry chefs from Goodwood & Shang. Quite an eye-opener. Turns out we had an amazing long conversation. Shermay, Sarah, Ken, Vincent, Fiona, Samantha, Sylvia, Virginia-we were all at 1 table-a very enriching & enjoyable conversation! It was very very thought provoking. Intended to leave by 4pm but ended up staying till almost 7pm! Ha! Rushed back in prep for some ‘action’ later on. Hee hee…. I got to catch the fireworks ‘LIVE’!!! It was SOO beautiful, to say the least. To be able to sit on the grass & all you have to do is look up & it seem as if the fireworks were raining down. It’s really awesome to be so near & catching it in the present. :))

Omitting all the crappy people & events, I generally had a wonderful week!!! A rather happening one, actually.

14th Aug was an amazing nite!!! Gwen’s concert was a blast, even after the birth of Kingston, she still has flat abs & a bod to die for!! A pity the stage was so TINY…WAAAAAY too small for her. But she ran up the aisles to seats of the spectators & people got to shake her hands & hug her!!!! I’m SOOOOO JEALOUS!!!! I absolutely love her acts & hope she’ll keep coming back! Her bassist was damn cool..not only could she play the bass guitar…her voice was really powerful & soulful. And among her 5 or 6 dancers, 2 were from Japan.. They’re fantastic!!!!

I really can’t get enough of her…for that, I got free reign of the music selection in the kitchen today & blasted Gwen’s album. Shiok ah!!! Waiting impatiently for the next No Doubt album to come out & even more impatiently for her/No Doubt to come back to Sg for a concert!!!!

Sis & I went to Tong Shui Cafe for supper…didn’t seem like we ordered a lot but when everything came..it almost occupied the whole table!!! Yikes!!!!

This evening was quite well spent, I must say..went for a foot reflexology straight after work(didn’t even wanna get outta my uniform!) It was a very nice hour-long massage..David attended to me today & he’s really good..much much better than the others. I enjoyed it thoroughly & this is the first time that I can really feel the lightness while walking(after the massage). I enjoyed that..(also had a bottle of breezer during the massage too… Heh.

Went back right away to feed Baileys & took her out for a walk. (Still in my uniform) A long….long walk & a little ‘revision’ on obedience training. She’s slacked ALOT!! I must keep this revision up or else…oh no…!!!! Walked for maybe under an hour, sat by the river outside Central for maybe 15 minutes..took a few pictures. She almost went chasing after a damn cockroach! Yuck!!

Then Esther called to ask if I was around coz both she & Raymond were having dinner at BKT so I walked back to join them. It was nice.. Wanted to pass them some cakes but Baileys was with me so a lil’ difficult.

Wanted to bring Baileys to Pawtobello but by the time both of us got clean, it was 5 min to their last order so…..too bad!!

She’s been SO naughty lately that I’ve been wacking her so much so that she’s afraid of me-AGAIN. I feel I’m stuck at this point & our relationship isn’t gonna make any progress. It’s not progressing. It really gets me down alot. Sometimes I even think she hates me. I don’t know…I suck at this. Sigh…..

Back from moulmein on a sunday night..super windy..close my eyes and I imagine myself on the streets of Japan. How nice..I love the wind. So much so that I sat at the coffeeshop opposite my place for almost an hour, takin in the breeze. Left reluctantly coz of the falling rain..if only it would blow like this every single day & night. That would be perfect.

I finally got to watch Coyote Ugly. I loved it!! I can watch it over & over again. Headed out to duplicate my keys and the Mister Minit guy was busy munching on Pringles & chatting on the phone..felt bad for interupting. Anyhow, when he was almost done with my keys, he asked me if I wanted some Pringles……?????!!!!! Was I staring at the chips unwittingly??!!! I don’t think so though…. Next I went into Gramaphone & they were playing Beautiful Seed by Corrinne May. How nice! And this same sales guy came by me thrice to say ‘Hi’. …. ???!!! What in the world…??!!! Do I look like I was gonna steal something or what??! Following suit was the doctor I went to see at Holland V. He started chatting with me & telling me about how much he loved the cakes from The Patissier!!! Chatted about other stuff too!!! Man!!!!! People today are weird!!! Funnily weird… But it’s nice…better than having a whole bunch of stupid rude obnoxious brats, definitely.

My dear dive instructress finally got her tattoo in phuket today. Sent me the MMS. And I’m SOOO proud of her!! And so envious too…makes me itch to go get my next one…trying to wait till end year…must tahan….it’s like havin to hold my breath in till I turn blue!!!!

I had a nice National day yesterday. Doing things other than celebrating THE day though. Woke up late, watched ‘Unfaithful’, checked my mail, had nice company & nice lunch-Teochew porridge!!! YUM YUM YUM YUM!!!!!!! Can’t ever get enough of it! EVER!! It was nice weather yesterday. Not rainy & not too hot. Almost Puuurrrfecto. Back to 6MS. Slacked & lazed around…listened to Corrinne May & her fantabulous new album-Beautiful Seed.

Went to Springs to celebrate Aunt’s Birthday cum National day(sorta…) Basically a family gathering of sorts. Came back home, set up my old PS1 & playing some games till late. The day would’ve been perfect too if not because didn’t get a reply. Sucker. That made a dent in my almost-perfect day. Shit.

Today, basically an ok day.Right up till I started doing my sponge. As I was spreading the sponge batter, I could feel myself ‘boiling’…I could feel my irritability escalating. S-L-O-W-L-Y……And I was irritated with myself for having that happen for no apparent reason. I was ready to explode. Tried SOOOO hard to suppress it. Ugh…there must be something wrong with me. Definitely.

The dog walk was fun!! Although it was really tiring having to carry baggage from 4ishpm till about 10ishpm..There were SOOO many dogs…like a dog congregation! Cute one, ugly ones, big ones, small ones & not forgetting the ‘paris hilton’ ones..(including the owners!!) Ick!

The walk was nice, with Morgan & Baileys..not sure bout the other 2 accomplices but I sure enjoyed myself!! It was not too hot, grateful for that occasional breeze. It was a really long walk though..from 1 end of West Coast park to the other. I don’t remember the last time I walked that much!! Or if I ever did!!

We just started the walk..not too tired yet..heh..

Once we reached the other end of the park where the dog run is…there were many stalls set up, selling goods & food(both for dogs & humans). There was also a big huge screen set up for the movie later in the night. Thank goodness for me not bringing money, otherwise, I’d have heavier bags & a much lighter pocket to go home with! We had cheese & pepper sausages-YUMMY!!!  Started heading off to the start point…saw a 2.5 mth old toy poodle wearing a teeny t-shirt. SOOOO CUTE!!! It was walking off leash when a bigger dog came along to check it out, causing the little puppy to tumble over onto its back like a baby!! Oh my goodess..it was so cute I wanted to take a video but everyone was blocking :(  The puppy was so ‘gong’ & blurrish…which made it even cuter!!!

‘Hmmm…..shall we go in to MacDonalds??’—looks like a little telepathic discussion going on there!!

We had Mac for early dinner & I GOT MY CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKE!!! Finally!!!! ****sluuuuurrrrp!!!!!****

Walked back to the dog run for the movies-in-the-park. They were screening ‘Shaggy Dog’. It was nice…thank you for being so thoughtful & gettin the cardboard. :)  Ended up with 2 free umbrellas!! Cool! No, it’s NOT the cheapo singaporean talking here. On the way back, Baileys really got tired…walked her off leash…nice…& fun!! Not too many dogs then so not so much distraction for her.

Wanted to get another chocolate milkshake but they’re sold out!!!! Can you believe it??!!!! Sold out??  Damn…

It was a very very nice ride back, nice breeze. Plus, the very awesome company. Got back & had to clean Baileys up…she was so tired that she curled up on my haversack & got comfy. She slept there for a while…here’s the evidence:
