Another round of sleeplessness…argh..Hate it when I desperately need to sleep and that’s EXACTLY what I can’t seem to do. Was lying in bed about 9.30pm…so happy with myself that I’m finally sleeping early until…I find myself tossing & turning. Darn. Anyway, there seemed to be heavy traffic on the communication line last night. And when I FINALLY got to slumberland…it was a nightmare-literally. All the way till 5am. Double darn.

Today was a crazy day at work. Finished almost 6.30 or 7pm. Don’t seem to be able to clear the pile of work. My bossie brought out a point: Lack of sleep brings down brain activity= lack of sleep makes you STUPID. I’m getting a lil’ ‘thick’ up there maybe. Or to certain people, most definitely. Ah…WHO CARES??!!

I received a compliment today. At the end of the day while Frances & I were finishing up. She feels that I have a lot of potential & it’s too bad other people can’t see that. Although I don’t believe so, I thank her for it. It’s a form of encouragement I guess. Something I really need now coz I’ve lost my motivation. At least, a certain percentage of it. Want to kick-start it, but am feeling lazy & tired right now.

It’s another classic case of me being taken for granted. People always seem to. I think it’s due to the history of the last 10 years(apart from my foul temper & lousy attitude) that I feel it’s impossible for anyone to really love me. They just want something from me-not that I have anything to give….at least not that I know of right now anyways…

When you say you love me, do you really? Or do you think you love me? Do you know me? Or do you think you know me?

One thing that trips me the most is when people judge me. Judge my actions, my feelings & me for the kinda person you think I am. Just coz you had the easier path doesn’t mean others are as lucky as you. Taking a deeper look into things, you’d realise there isn’t ever a clear line between black & white. Especially when dealing with humans & emotions. Who are you to say something is black OR white? What you say is entirely YOUR opinion, your perspective. Don’t ‘tune’ other’s eyes to your colour.

I don’t even know why I’m saying all this crap. Probably had too much potato.

Heavy dinner=heavy thoughts.

Time to crash.

Aunt Jesse’s leaving Thursday night & so we decided to go for a local food feast- somewhere in hougang(Chomp Chomp was closed!!) She was craving for Satay so…that’s what we had, plus a bowl of laksa(super long queue but the young, cool chef said thank you to every person who ordered stuff from them-nice! And he was efficient. :)) Food wasn’t too bad. It was a nice dinner with Dad, his wife, Grandma & aunt.

Headed back & checked mails for a bit. Went out, had a nice chat by the beach PLUS some Bailey’s Creme Caramel. YUMS!!! Sadly, not much breeze at all. But there IS the occasional whiff of Davidoff Coolwater tho’ Consolation: twinkling stars aplenty. So pretty to lie down & stare up at them.(Thanks to the ‘innovative’ mat!) It was so peaceful & calm to hear the soft crashing of the waves..(SO different from Bali. Ha!)

And now, I have a ’sleepy’ flower hanging where my clothes are. Exudes the sleepiness in me. Thank you again. I can’t really do very much(or rather, don’t know what else I can do) apart from saying ‘Thank You’…

Today, spent the day with my Aunt Jesse. Had dim sum at Taka, window shopping, dessert at Canele-this time round, I had the Chocolate Praline Souffle with Vanilla ice-cream & raspberry coulis. The souffle was Wonderful!!! Didn’t get enough..hee hee. It’s the glutton in me speaking.. Went into Ripcurl & cheacked out the Malibu surf board they had. It’s a 6 foot 2, retailing for $719..I still liked the one we saw in Kuta, Bali. It was a VERY nice green but costs USD825!!!!! Aunt Jesse met up with her girlfriend, Gin & we split for dinner..I couldn’t stomach any more food..but it was nice of them to extend the invitation to me.

This is the end of my off day. Gonna be an EVEN crazier week coz my poor Joey is down with food poisoning…she got a jab today…ugh…Hope she gets well soon..

And I’d better sleep early tonight…long days ahead & I have to head to Sembawang for steamboat dinner with Aunt & gramps followed by a trip to the airport, send her off and its a LOOONNNNGGG train ride back to MS…

Nite nite.

Not too hectic at work today, surprisingly. Slacked around in the afternoon, went for a pedicure blah blah blah…toward the evening..got a lil’ retrospective, a lil’ dip in mood. Didn’t want to spend money, didn’t wanna eat, didn’t wanna travel to get somewhere so…went for a walk by the river. Very nice, peaceful, allowed me to think for abit.

Don’t know why but I feel that time is flying by & a certain someone is taking a road trip. So fast it scares me. I usually feel time is going WAAAAAAYYYYY too slow. Not fast enough for me but now…seems the other way around. Not too pleased about it tho’…I hate the fact that time is slipping away & half the time or more, I’m just standing here. And I’m STILL standing here.

Uncle’s bday bash at east coast chalet was a wet blast. considering him getting drenched & ‘iced’ in ALL the ‘appropriate’ places. Wahahaha…all thanks to my dear ingenious dive instructress(Akuma mama)!! We(meaning all who came for the bash) now all know what brand of underwear Uncle goes for!! He got ‘ sabo-ed’ really bad. We all had an amazing long span of laughter- Akuma mama made him put on the dive gear with fins, mask, snorkel, the whole works and walk around our chalet unit & offer strangers cans of beer!!! It was SOOO hilarious!!!! I took a video to remember it by..haha, what a sight!! That was only a part of the ’sabo’ plan but the above was by far the funniest & also the highlight of the night. Hee hee…I’m sure this 41st birthday would be his most memorable!

Made a lil’ trip down with my Boss to Canele Paragon for lunch. Service was a little slow, we had to go to the counter to put in our order whereas the guys at the table next to us got lucky..the waitress automatically went to them. Cheh!!! Do you just serve guys??!! Geez.. Anyways, this was what my Boss had:

1. Minestrone soup-not enough soup, almost like stew instead.
2. Croque Madame(yummy sandwich with ham & an omelette on top!) - VERY tasty & filling!! Definitely worth eating!! Thumbs up for this!!
3. Eclair Feuilletine - Pretty dry

I had:

1. Chocolate Classique(warm chocolate cake with a quenelle of whipped cream on the side) - most part of cake was nice & moist, towards the sides of cake..wee bit dry. Not too bad!
2. Quiche of the day(with onions, tomato & ham) - so-so..barely warm..I would have greatly prefered it hot.
3. Had a bite of my boss’s Croque Madame…WOO HOO!!!

After that….we were both so stuffed but….my boss asked for ice cream!!! I couldn’t believe it but I was greedy too so…we got the Tasting Platter(selection of 3 ice cream flavors). Chose the L’ amour(rose), Exotique(passionfruit + bananana!!) & lastly, the Madagascar(vanilla). It’s not too bad considering it cost only $9.50!! We were pretty satisfied….bought some cakes back to the shop for trying.

Also got to indulge in the nice packaging & showcases for the cakes. Pretty much eye candy comparing to other cake shops around.

Kitchen ‘W.A.R’(also stands for Weird Ass Recruited) today. Too much tension in the air. You can almost feel the electric sparks flying around. Yikes. Well, to cut to the chase, I got my ’strings pulled really tight’, Mother Theresa got stressed & pressured, J got shot and thereafter, because of something I wanted corrected, I got a shot of attitude from J. Definitely not welcomed. Well, for all I care, you can think that I’m not experienced enough, I’m not qualified and in no position to tell you what to do & PLUS i’m younger than you. And because of these reasons you give me an attitude I don’t really care for…suit yourself. I did what I needed to do, if you choose not to go with it, you bloody problem. I’m just trying to cover your ass just so you don’t get another ’shot’.

**See….that’s the W.A.R. I’m talking about……some really weird people…..

I can’t believe it…some people who claim to be ‘experienced’ & who come from the hotel lines at some point in their lives…just happen to be so ‘UN-kitchen savvy’. You think you’re so smart & you know everything. It’s a total put OFF! You do something wrongly & you give all sorts of crap reasons or excuses, rather. Ones that don’t even link up to the problem!! If you don’t know something or you’re not sure, why can’t you just open your damn mouth and ASK??!!! Or is it that you have so much ego stuffed in your mouth that you can’t open up just in case it all comes falling out?? It’s genuinely

Thank goodness I had dinner & a nice chat with Sera to end all the ’suffering’ at work. Bleargh….. Thanks for dinner Sera!!! And thanks for spraying my Jubilee today!!!!!

I had a most wonderful time last night. Hee hee…Went to take neoprint!!! Super advanced ones!!! Woo hoo!!! And pictures were N.I.C.E..!! Most happy with them! Well, apparently I had a nice surprise awaiting.. :)  Guess what?? I got a cable car ride! cool, huh??!! It was a really nice experience, and I totally enjoyed it. Immensely. Although I’m afraid of heights, it wasn’t all THAT bad.

Wanted to have ice-cream at Canele’s but kitchen was closed by the time we got there so too bad(and it was our 2nd try!!)…next time we’ll get those ice-cream!! I remember that I owe you!

Man….I had SUCH a great time I almost couldn’t sleep! And I even woke up with a smile! For those of you who know me rotten well, I hardly wake up with a smile especially when I’m dead tired. I’m a grouchy person. Bleargh! And I was definitely in a good mood & that’s a good start for the day!

If you read this, thanks soooooooooo sooooooooo much. It means a lot to me & I’ll always remember my 1st ever cable car ride!! Thank goodness not a freaky experience…

And I had so much fun taking the neoprints…makes me wanna go back! Fun! Fun! Fun! Wheeeee…..!!!!!

Here I am-in Bali!!! It’s my 3rd day here, and 2nd day of surfin lessons!! A little burnt but surfin’s soooo fun!! Pretty tricky too..considering you have to overcome the biggie waves on the way out. Drank a lota sea water & breathed in a lot too.. yuck! Thank goodness for a very patient teacher. The waves were really scary..!!! I’ve got minor scrapes, cuts & bruises from surfin but it’s not too bad…goes with surfin so..WHO CARES as long as you have fun, right?!

Just got a massage at the resort spa today & boy was it good!! Very very relaxing & strokes are of the right pressure…Mmmmm….simply delightful!!!

Gonna go for dinner now so will update later with more details!!! Ta people!!
